effective deterrent.

Since TaxiCam is the primary business of VerifEye, they
understand the taxi industry and the various customer/driver privacy, law
enforcement and regulatory requirements better than any other provider of
in-vehicle cameras and taxi CCTV.
TaxiCam installs quickly. The camera head mounts above or to
the side of the rear-view mirror. The image storage unit connects to the
vehicle wiring and is concealed. A downloading cable supports connection to a
laptop PC or Office PC for image retrieval.
This state of the art CCTV system is suitable for fitment into all vehicles,
from ordinary cars to purpose built hackney's like the TX4 from LTI
or the Peugeot E7 or Mercedes M8 from Cab Direct.
The data stored is
fully encrypted using VerifEye proprietary software and only the
police or local councils will have the software access 'key'. NO
ONE else can view or download images from the system. This helps
maintain the 'chain of evidence' when the images are required to be admissible
in court and keep the system compliant with the Data Protection Act.
Each frame is time and date stamped, carries the Vehicle Registration number
and unit serial number.
The cameras operate in near ZERO light conditions using in built infrared
so you are protected. Even on the darkest of nights, the system is still
taking high quality images.
Audio recording is enabled ensuring that ANY racial/sexist/violent or
inappropriate comments are recorded.
Only authorised personnel from the
police or the councils will have the ability to download images from the
system, and only after an 'incident' occurs. The system is
designed as a deterrent and to aid in the identification of offenders.
